Din Tai Fung has opened their first venue outside Sydney and their biggest venue in Australia, at Emporium Melbourne. There have been queues out the door everyday – the people of Melbourne have gone mad for Xiao Long Bao.
The shaomai are like no others gone before. Here they are more like XLB, crowned with prawn meat. The soupy pork teamed with sweet sea makes for a revelatory mouthful. Extraordinary.
