One of Australia’s best-selling French wines, the irreverent Arrogant Frog has unveiled a new look with a refreshed label to reflect the brand’s mix of old world roots and winemaking know-how, and new world attitude.
Launched in 2005 by Jean-Claude Mas, a fourth-generation winemaker from Languedoc-Roussillon in southern France, Arrogant Frog paved a new path for French winemakers, rivalling the new world wines that were dominating the market by adopting a fresh and fun approach to both brand and winemaking.Arrogant Frog is now celebrating 11 years in the Australian market, with over one million bottles of wine sold annually. Australia is the second largest consumer of Arrogant Frog wines after Holland.
“When new world wines started to kick us out of the market I knew there needed to be a change, and we were in the right place to do it,” Mas said. “And now we continue to evolve the brand and keep it fresh, to keep the new world wines on their toes!”
