The historic tyre factory site in Neild Avenue will have new life breathed into it with the opening of Bar Machiavelli April 7.
The expansive warehouse-style site will be home to the new modern Italian bar and diner, created and run by Paola Toppi of the original institution Machiavelli in Sydney's CBD.
The menu will centre around an ever-changing selection of antipasti (a nod to the renowned antipasti of the original Machiavelli), cocktails, wine and homemade pastas which will be made on site in a custom glass pasta room.
Paola Toppi says "My mother, Giovanna Toppi, taught me everything I know about food as I learned by her side in the kitchen of the original Machiavelli. She has always loved creating new concepts, and this new restaurant honours her love of a style of Italian dining that is casual and for a new generation. We feel this is how Sydney-siders want to enjoy Italian- fun, high energy, but still drawing on the classic cooking principles and well-loved dishes"
