Matt Moran and Bruce Solomon, co-owners of ARIA, have announced that ARIA Sydney will close Sunday August 21, for a significant 10-week full refurbishment.
Moran said: "Bruce and I both feel now is the right time for a new look ARIA. That stunning view of Sydney taking in the harbour, bridge and Sydney Opera House will of course remain. I’m looking forward to getting back into the kitchen with the ARIA team. We won’t be moving away from fine dining at all, if anything, we’ll be upping the ante.”
The menu will remain true to Moran’s ethos of seasonal ingredients cooked perfectly to create elegant, balanced dishes. ARIA will continue to work with produce from some of Australia’s best farmers, who ARIA have forged strong relationships with over 17 years. The kitchen will also introduce a large grill section.
One of Australia’s top interior architects, George Livissianis is creating the new-look ARIA, with a new colour palette and a mix of travertines, leathers, bronzes and woods fitting out the 170 seat restaurant.
