Din Tai Fung, the famed dumpling specialists with outlets in Melbourne and Sydney, will turn up the holiday cheer this December with the launch of new and returning menu specials, available from 1 December until 5 January.
The dumpling roulette makes a much-anticipated return together with limited-edition fruit popsicles, complementing the restaurant’s much-loved menu.
This silly season, up to six punters can spin the dumpling roulette wheel ($21.80) and eat their way through six xiao long bao, in three delicious flavours: Din Tai Fung’s signature pork, Italian black truffle with pork, and a new crab and pork chilli dumpling exclusive to the roulette.
Each succulent, soupy dumpling will be made to order with Din Tai Fung’s renowned precision: wafer-thin pastry weighing 4.8 to 5.2 grams, then filled to between 20.8 to 21.2 grams, and steamed for exactly three minutes.
Din Tai Fung will launch two limited-edition fruit popsicles to round out the festive offering, available in two flavours: mixed berry with apple and guava; and mango with orange and kiwi. The popsicles will be served in wine glasses, topped with a choice of lemonade or sparkling wine.
