Matt Moran will celebrate the new spring menus at much-loved neighbourhood restaurants Chiswick Woollahra & Chiswick at the Gallery, by bringing their gardens to your door. The new Chiswick Veggie Van will deliver free veggie boxes of Chiswick produce the next three Fridays in November. Moran and Chiswick Woollahra head chef Tom Haynes will handpick a selection of fruit, vegetables and herbs at optimum ripeness and condition, showcasing the very best the season has to offer.
The first Chiswick veggie boxes to be delivered will feature the likes of eggplants, blood oranges, radishes, kale, heirloom tomatoes and golden nugget pumpkin, along with a guide on making the most of each ingredient. Moran and Haynes will also include the recipe for and ingredients to make Chiswick’s mint salsa, served in the restaurant alongside Chiswick’s signature dish, the Moran Family lamb shoulder.
Create the ultimate dinner party menu using the veggie box and recipe ideas as the building blocks. With restaurant quality produce, guests will be thinking that Matt Moran himself is in the kitchen.
The retro, 1960s van has been converted into the Chiswick Veggie Van. Covered in vegetable illustrations, the van is a moving representation of the spring garden. Delivering all over Sydney, you may even spot Matt behind the wheel on one of the deliveries.
“Spring is such a beautiful time at Chiswick. The garden is so vibrant and full of stunning produce like asparagus and globe artichokes,” says Moran. “We are really excited to be able to bring a selection of our favourite spring produce items to our customer’s door, so they can create their own dishes.”
The complimentary veggie boxes will be delivered on Fridays in November (10, 17, 24).
Free Chiswick veggie boxes are limited, so get in fast and register via www.chiswickrestaurant.com.au/veggievan. Chosen recipients will be provided with details on when they can expect a delivery from the Chiswick Veggie Van.
